INTRODUCTION
| The urban history of Milan has been, in the last two century, very tormented. Demolition of historic neighbourhood and several attempt of modernization made the look of the city hard to understand and often inconsistent. These events has been, however, also an expression of a desire of modernity that allowed Italian architects to spread international artistic trends and to contribute in their development. The purpose of this web-site is to collect basic data and images of the contemporary architecture of Milan; the starting point is the end of Second World War. I’m neither a photographer or an expert in history of architecture; I’m just a curious that loves his city. I hope my work can be of interest of someone. |
